If you like this idea you might want to look at page 201 in the tenth edition of Cartridges Of The World and check out the .366 DGW. 5800+ foot pounds at the muzzel, and 3253 feet per second in a 24" barrel with a 250 grain slug. 300 grain bullets at 2900+ and the 286 grain bullets at over 3100 it is not too bad. If you want more info on the cartridge let me know. So far it has accounted for 32 one shot kills in Africa, the biggest being a 1250 pound Eland and 12 White tail deel, but then with a cartridge like this do the deer really count? "Yup got my deer with one shot from my Elephant gun" There are also two crows and a wood chuck in this one shot kill catigory but I will not go there.

It is the small calibers that are the biggest bores.

I looked it up That is very impressionable. I'll bet the recoil is really high. A 250 gr bullet going 3253 fps. My 338 rum pushes this 250gr bullet at a little over 3000 fps.My RUM has 2734.9 FT LBS at 500 yds and drops 35.99"
This Wildcat might just make it!

We are trying to get it ligitimised but it is an up hill fight. Quality Cartridge is makeing brass and loaded ammo for it and Midway is carring the brass so we are making gains. Shooting wise it is not bad in a 10+ pound rifle, but in a 7.5 pound light weight I ain't intrested!!!!! A rifle like yours or one for the .366 should weigh in around 10.5 pounds to be comfortable to shoot.

My 338 RUM weights 9.???? lbs. But it isn't a hard kicker. I would think it is the way the stock is made. Don't get me wrong it has some recoil. You just have to hold it tight.
