Chuck, where do you get the wrist loader from? Thanks.Looks useful. I have seen them custom made in leather. First time in synthetic and velcro. Or is that on you put together yourself, ie ran a velcro strap around a synthetic cartridge holder?
Good to watch your video. Rapid shooting on orange clays is also good fun and spectacular. Good practice as well.
What do you use the .416 for? Sambar? Any buff yet? Will work well.

Well done..one of the best DG calibers available..love the 416 Rem. Have used mine on all my trips to Africa except one..and that was only because I was worried of not getting my ammo ..
That cartridge absolutely hammers anything you shoot with it..up to and including elephant..polaxes buffalo..

I use the 416 for sambar and foxes. So far i shot 3 sambar, missed one and killed a fox.
Otherwise its for group 2 bgrc competitions so i don't have to buy a complete rifle. Just swap over in a minute start shooting.
Never shot a buff. Maybe one day but rather shoot a bear.

Yeah i like it. Got more range than a 458.
Not sure id want my 8lb rifle any lighter though. Recoil is hard enough to keep focussed shot after shot on target.

Yes..much flatter than the .458 and had plenty of ME
I bet that does kick a bit..mine are in the 9.5 lb to 10.5 lb range..

Yes I noticed it recoiled higher than I expected. The weight is the answer. But I have never seem myself shooting my .404 ie on video, so no idea what it looks like. I do know it recoils more/hurts more than some others, I think due to stock shape/design.
I do know when I shot a pre-93 Blaser in .375 H&H Mag, 6 1/4 lbs all up, scope ammo all, it did also rise a lot. And was not nice.
Chuck, as a Blaser aficionado, what was the pre 93 Blaser model called?

Always amazing how much stock design and length really effect felt recoil..and yes, of course weight.. My Sako model 75 in 375 H&H is not an issue to shoot on or off the bench.. the Rem 416 is really not that bad either but its a good 1-1.5 lbs heaver than the .375.. I have a custom .416 mauser action, way more felt recoil.. was opposite of what I expected being a custom and all.. have a new Winchester controlled round feed in .416 as well, but have never fired it yet.. will this spring..
Surprised by your comment that the .404 kicks as much as it does??

That will help a lot in recoil department - especially as light as it is, it still will be a fair old thump!
Nice & smooth on the 6 shots mate, it does put you under a lot of stress - especially the reloading part!
I completely stuffed up a 'special snap' event once - dropped my cartridges!

I thought it was the 84 but i don't pay much attention to the older models cause the 93 was so radically different.
