I just picked up this mint A2 from 1981. Wow, about the perfect classic deer rifle it seems to me.

Daryl, neither of these two models. Finnwolf has lever action (the only model by SAKO) and Finnbear is another name for L61R. SAKO A2 is same as L579.

Havenīt ever heard any other name but fullstock, in finnish "kokotukki".

Forester in one sub-model of L579, there is Standard, De-Luxe and Heavy Barrel -versions too. Action size is, as wjw wrote, intermediate lenght i.e. SAKO made this action for calibers .308 win,.243 Win and .22-250 Rem.

Years ago now, a good mate of mine had one the same (a Sako full wood but in .375 H&H), for sale but I was not working at the time, so ......................... BUGGER!
