Spectacular Carl Zeiss "Zielmultar" variable and torch combination claw mounted on pre WW2 big bore vierling. Notice the double safety, the second set of sidelocks, and the separate lamp battery. Judging from the engraving style that gun seems to have been built for India. Perhaps our friend Kuduae will be able to find more info about that impressive rifle.

Sorry, Joel, but without more Information as to caliber(-s?), maker or retailer and proofmarks I can not comment on this unique gun. Please, post photos of the proofmarks. If German, it was certainly made for export, perhaps tiger shooting at night,as such spotlights were illegal in Germany since WW1.

Dear friend,
Alas I have only that picture...! It was forwarded by a friend about the "Zielmultar" as I own such a Carl Zeiss scope factory mounted on an Oberndorf Mauser sporter. Hope to meet you at IWA.
