Made in 1998 with 23 1/2 inch barrels, AD box lock, and regulated with Federal ammo.

18 LPI checkering.

One fixed, two folding rear sights.

Hidden third fastener and ejectors. The fired cases shoot over my right shoulder as I reload.

Bushed strikers and recess for third bite.

10 lb., 4 oz. = ouch.

Birth place:

Left-right, 470 w/500 gr 106 IMR 4831, 470 w/425 LBT @1900. 30-06, 500 BPE w/440 LBT @1900, 500 BPE w/440 Woodies @1900.

Lovely piece.
Enjoy looking at the cast for a right handed shooter. Nice Made in UK too .
Cant help thinking the for-end looks a bit American for a British Rifle. No matter. If you don't want it let me know!!!

An interesting note. Douglass spelled with two SS, means sometime in the past he or an ancestor did sometime of note for the Crown, so the family was awarded the second "S" to be added to their name. Bob
