New Gunmaker Offers Model 70 type rifles

I know nothing about Coronado Arms other than what I've been told by a friend who seems to like their rifles. If any of our California based members know more about this firm and its products, they are welcome to give their opinions.

Good hunting!

I just learned that the owners of this company were partners in Granite Mountain Arms and they have happily parted ways but still work together. Richardson and Roberts will build custom rifles for clients either on Granite Mountain Mauser actions, or on their Model 70 clones. Hurrah for choice!

Why would anyone spend over $5000 on a M70 wanna be, and wait three years, when you could buy the highest grade Husky FN, an older custom shop really fancy M70, a real older English stalking rifle or a high grade Browning FN Safari for the same of less money from one of the big auction houses or dealers today ?

Anybody remember Winslow ?

Name guns appreciate, no names don't, and no name guns might not even work right when the chips are down.

Look on the Griffin & Howe used rifle website at the Eisserer-Custom 98. Beautiful classic with a cheap (ha ha) scope and mounts. for $3250. Easy choice for me !

Everything looks like a Model 70 these days, since the ''Must Have''[we are told] is the M70 safety, Winslows had extravagant stocks with exaggerated pistol grips ,pointy ,i think they were on commercial 98 actions
