Have been spending the weekend in Laramie Wyoming taking in my last ever Swim meet, 16yrs is enough. Tomorrow is the first offical tour of the University of Wyoming which the younger daughter will be attending in the Fall.

State finals swimming is a 3 day event, with about a half hour accumlative time of swimming of the kids we known plus my daughter, I had plenty of time to "investigate" the Town of Laramie.

While over eating and under exercising, I found a door embossed "Riflemaker" at the corner of
2nd Street and Ivinson.......establishment was closed but the windows revealed a subduely appointed interior of a classic shop. No guns on display, thou a few less than common game heads as well as other articles of ephemra where not lost on me. I jotted down a few lines for future reference.

I have returned to the Hotel room and the world wide web. A search led to;

http://nlheineke.com/

Reading this man's opinions in the heading "Our Rifles" was some of the best written entertainment I have veiwed in sometime. In my never to be humble opinion, here is a Maker who gets it.

While is pricing is far from my budget, or conscience, his work looks to be in line with the pricing.

Agreed, work looks to be inline with pricing. I like a maker whose price is on the first line of his ordering page.

Nathan is a very talented workman, very knowledgeable about the older classic custom rifles and a heck of a nice man.

Michael I can now concur in full. He is indeed "a heck of a nice man" I had the pleasure today to visit for a few stolen minutes with Nathan. While Spring is happening with Summer soon too, it was a very blustery day in Laramie Wyoming. I am in town as my daughter, the younger, will be attending University here. As such we had 2 days of orientation and registration

I handled a pair of his rifles as well as a pair of early G&H rifles. He gets it, he understands it, he is a student of that Art. As well he is a hunter and gets that fully also. He is fresh back from Uganda.

I thoroughly enjoyed our brief time and will surely make us of the invitation to visit again.
