As we now are on a wave of Automatics in here these days, I thought I could post some images of mine as well.
this is a James Woodward and Sons kal: delivered July 1912, to the right honorable Earl og Corck
cal is 300 h&H Fl.

Nice looking rifle. Congratulations.
I did not know the .30 Super Flanged came out in 1912. I have always believed the .30Super came in 1925.
THanks for sharing.

Interesting.
Do you know who rebarrelled it ?
Reason for asking is I got into an almighty shit fight here in Aust after looking at one and I said that I didn't think the gun was all original.
Well as you can imagine, that went down like a lead balloon but after being challenged to prove it, I got the records from Purdey and was correct.

Yes, johan fansoj did the job pos in the 50's. Originally this barrels was in 308 win. But that was so heartbreaking wrong so when i got it i cut the chambers to 300 h&h fl.

Once rebarelled, it really doesn't matter and I think you made the right choice of "re chambering".
Thanks re name.
Have you ever done a close comparison to what an original set looks like to see how close they are ?
BTW, it is a very nice gun.
