Hi Roger,

Beautiful rifle, you should be pleased. When you have time, give the full story of how you became so lucky etc.

Cheers,

The one and same rifle you were looking at M Merker
Thank you all for the encouragment
I am emailing ritterbusch for any informatiom
I believe it started life as a 458 winchester and was converted to 450 NE
I also beleive it is regulated with 480 grain at 2150 fps
I have some 480 grain softs and solid Hornadys dangerous game on order so we will see how it and I perform (Mainly me)
I also have some dies on the way so planning to reload in the future
I would greatly appreiciate any information anybody has on this rifle
Thank you
Cheers
Roger

G'day Roger!

That is NICE!

I see you are from WA (I was originally) and I tip my hat to you for doing the hard yards to get such a nice (big) rifle over there. Good on you!

Perfect camel medicine, amongst other game...

Perfect cane toad medicine... Imagine a pair of the brutes fiendishly hopping towards you... A quick right and a left, and plop another couple in snapping it shut as you anxiously scan the mud or savannah for any others lurking nearby!

Truthfully, I shot one with the .30/30 once, and do intend to try the big rifles someday!

Woodleigh 480s would be great but for basic shooting and light game I use 480grn Bertram bullets.
I would also agree that it likely started life as a 458Win.

Roger,
Very nice rifle, you have a right to be very proud of it. I am especially glad to see that it has that lovely beavertail forend on it! I think you will be very happy together. Bob
