I have one but I'm no expert (I like Mausers )
Do the normal things ie check out the bore and have the head space checked. If its out you just have to change bolt heads to find the right one.
Highlander has a good cheap load that works well. Good wood is getting harder to find so if possible pick one that has a good stock.

There was a few No.4 MK2 in new condition advertised in SSAA journal recently. The .303 I like are the Lithgow SMLE MKIII* and "Jungle Carbine" No.5 MK1 any good .303 is getting hard to get but there is always a lot of rubbish out there be careful !

I have a no. 1 mk 3 that was brand new when I bought it.It would be close to my favorite rifle.I think it is close to having a thousand rounds through it now,not one problem with it.very accurate for what it is.They are getting hard to find in new condition. But i have to say I also like mausers I have a 8mm 98 which i havent really used yet.
