Hi Farhan,

Congratulations with your new rifle. It will be interesting to hear about your experiences with it after a while.

Here in Norway, the R8 Luxus costs US$6300.00, although I don't know if there might be an additional price increase for magnum calibers.

About US$1200.00

Note that Norway is insanely expensive, and I am sure the prices are quite a bit lower in the rest of Europe.

Hi

In Sweden a magnum R8 costs 5950$ and a extra magnum barrel 1430$. A barrel thats not a magnum caliber will cost you 1050$. Probably you will get some reduction from the retailer.
I´ve got a R93 so it will be interesting to hear more about the R8.

Better to buy a R8 in Germany than in Norway or Sweden! Wonder if it is difficult to import ? Even if it cost some taxes it could be worth it.

Congrats on the new toy.... are "saddle mounts" the same thing as QD (Quick Disconnect) mounts?

Farhan - what are you allowed to hunt in Pakistan (aside from the Talaban)? How restrictive are the gun laws? Just curious...

Farhan

Interesting.

How easy is it for a citizen to get a non-prohibited firearms licence? Thanks.

It is not difficult.Members of assemblies has qouta and all district officer has good qouta as well.
There are two type of licences issued in pakistan
1- by provencal govt (non prohabited bore only)
2- by fed goverement (prohabited and no prohabited both)
Non prohabited bore licenses are easy and easy to made for every one who has even littele connections or he can spend little money
