It's brass Tom.
A few of the inlays are silver though, and so is the wire. The flower at the head of the patch box is silver too.

Wow, beautiful rifle there! Extremely nice piece of wood to match your craftsmanship too!

Did you do anything special to enhance the tigerstriping, or did it just pop out of the wood naturally?

No Mark, It's just what God did. I only stain them, and put an oil finish on them.
That one has some very nice color and curl.

Here's one that REALLY curly. The stripes in this one are some of the best I ever saw.
(also a left hand gun)
