As they say, don't shoot the messenger. She was salvaged from a bad fire and other than a little cleaning, we've never done anything to it. Just can't figure out what to do. Can you imagine the work involved in making and fitting an action like that. Just think about making the springs for it.

Thanks for that. I missed it last week. It is a real pity. My Simson 9.3 (see thread from Nov / Dec) was worse but restoring was easy as the action was standard Mauser 98. You could get the stock done by an apprentice stock maker for a reasonable price. A young guy with passion & discipline could do a dream job on it. The metal work would depend on the level of damage. It would be great to restore & shoot again. Thanks for sharing.
