Chapuis double rifle bolting, please, a picture underlumps
      #95487 - 30/01/08 07:44 AM

I know the Chapuis has an underlug/bolting system out of the ordinary, and I know how it is, in words, but I would like to see an actual close up picture of the barrel underlumps, one for bolting and two for riding on hinge pin, so can someone please post such a picture, or email me one?

DRJ
Was the link CA enough? I'll dig mine out of the safe if it'd help. I can send some pics.

I think an improvement to the Chapuis is the DEMAS,

www.kebcollc.com is a U.S. importer. Ken there, is a

good guy to talk to. If I was not a "nut" for old U.K.

double rifles I'd have bought a DEMAS from the above.

Hi Jack,

Sorry for the delay, the Mrs had the digital camera and she just got back today.

Here are the lups and locking arrangement for a Chapuis:

It is similar in some ways to the arrangement Fabarms uses on their Classic Lions, having two hooks/lumps:

Here is the Chapuis compared to a tradition shotgun:

Hope my crappy photos help...
