Are these well made guns? Is this a good company to do business with? How much is VAT?

We're talking Paul Roberts W J Jeffrey ?

Previous user of the J Rigby name.

If so, knows what he is going.

Yes they are. The company was acquired by Paul Roberts years back, he is very knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

Agree with the other comments--visited with him last year in Reno at the SCI show--very knowledgable and helpful..would do business with him in a heartbeat.

Definitely. I wouldn't hesitate

VAT is 17.5% but you should be able to reclaim that and just pay sales tax in the US (which I believe is much lower).

Paul is a good guy to deal with, or you could just buy a FAMARS, that is who is building his guns anyway!

FAMARS is correct for the action, I don't recall about the

barrels. I thought the finishing was being done in ENGLAND.

I also think you can have the Webley A&WC action copied

exactly by FAMARS as of right now. I'd submit there's no

superior action design to that!

Jack,

about 99% of the gun is done by FAMARS other than the Color Case and the proof on the barrels is done.

A&S guns are very nice and for under 50K you can get a nice box lock finished out, too bad about 5 years ago you could have done it for the high 20's.

I think the same applies to old guns as well
as new guns.

Why it was so important to get into them early and not
"wait for the bargain" which MAY never come.

If you want a pure English made scalloped back boxlock D/R

at 20,000 Brit pounds contact my friend, www.ttproctor.com -

Trevor Proctor, who I have visited with in person for

several days last May, and who I may go to visit with again

this June. These are FORGED actions and wonderfully built

doubles, really!
