Thought those who hunt sheep around the world might enjoy these--these were taken about 12 miles from my satellite office here in Montana.. last week..

Man, you are dead set on doubling the immigrant population of Montana, aren't you!!

I know it is good for business and everything, but let it be known to all reading the posts here and who might find themselves near our common borders or travelling thru; Idaho sucks. Just'a keep movin' or go home!!

Seriously, great pix, Ripp, really great pix!! Like I've said before, you've got a great thing going there.

Those are some beautiful sheep Ripp. What are the hunting possibilities for them in Montana? Just for residents?

I might have to immigrate, and become a Montana resident if that's what it takes!

It is very difficult to draw Big Horn sheep tags--it is a draw only for Big Horns, Goats and Moose in Montana.. I have been applying for 18 years--did draw a Mountain Goat a few years back--got an awesome specimen--which made Boone and Crockett...Will post a pic if you want when I get to the office tomorrow morning of him mounted in my Trophy room.

Non-residents can apply however your odds of drawing are very low--you can buy what is called the "Governors Tag" which is auctioned off every year--you can hunt in any unit in the state if you get it-- the auction price is quite high--can be in excess of $100,000 US..

For best results I apply in most states in the West every year..Wyoming really does have a better chance to draw Big Horn tags as they have a bonus point system--with the points I have accumulated there I am almost certain to draw in the next few years..I also apply in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona and New Mexico--all for different species..

Thanks

Ripp

Exactely---and the weather is like that here 11 months of the year with the one remaining month usually with poor weather...

Coldest place I have ever been..rude people... ultra high cost of living..horrible, absolutely horrible place to live...

Thank you for the kind words---as obvious, I am not a professional photographer,, but while traveling through , ah, Wyoming,, the opportunity seems to present itself more often than not..

As to Denmark---No idea what it is like there... but always up to a little travel..
