J.P. Sauer & Sohn Transition Mauser 8x57mm

Another interesting gun from my collection. I noticed in the new Mauser Archives book the information on the "pop-up" cheek piece. The added finger grip extension is really quite comfortable when using the set triggers. This gun was given to my son as a gift for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Yea, I'm bragging on him.

Testing a Pic from Photobucket. Does anyone prefer Photobucket to Hunt101?

Jeff,

That's one fine looking Sauer. I like the adj. cheek piece, really unique as you seldom see one. Looks like it's in great condition as well. Sporters like this just bust my floater!

JWheeler,

Fantastic gun. And, of course, a fantastic dad to give it to a great son! Hope you have some pictures of great trophies that the young man takes with it to post here.

Good hunting!

What a neat rifle with some really unusual options! Way cool! Congrats to the new Eagle Scout! I hope he appreciates it as much as we do!!
btw- the photobuckets didn't open for me, only Hunt101.
