Keeping a loaded handgun in the house has always presented a problem for the family man. Curious children with curious hands and eyes.
I came across Wall Vault recently and it seemed like the perfect solution to my problem. I ordered one. It took about an hour to install. It opens in seconds and keeps a loaded handgun at the ready and away from curious children. This was a great find and a great product.

I've been thinking about this problem myself lately. That's an interesting solution.

For $500.00 and an hours labor it was an easy thought for me. Once the fingerprint was loaded it opens in three seconds. It holds six different fingerprints and a 5 digit combination.
I found this to be the best money I've spent in a long time. It's the easiest way I've found to get at my handgun everytime I want it.

Your solution is a good one.

However, I recommend you program it to open with several different fingers on both hands....

Just in case you get in a "struggle" before you get to the "gun box" and have a finger or two "Bit Off".

Think about it....

Also I would keep a rag nearby to wipe off the blood, so IT can read the fingerprint you have left.

I am not joking.

It never hurts to plan for every possibility.

NE450No2,
It's funny how that happened by accident. The safe will read six fingerprints. The company says to use your index finger. It doesn't work consistantly with the index finger so I added a thumb. I forgot which hand I used and programed both hands index finger and thumb. The thumb print works best as it fits tightly into the station they have for the reader.
The combination is also available it's easy just not as fast.
Thanks for the tips and good ideas. You need to plan for every senerio.
