Tiger vs 14' croc.

Anyone see the very one sided fight between the Tigress and a 14' croc in Ranthambor, India?
It was screened on a BBC wildlife showing on the Tigers of Ranthambor. The old Tigress jockeyed for the right position, jumped on the croc's back and grabbed hold of the back of it's skull, biting through to the brain. It was over in seconds. The whole scene was filmed by a tourist who appeared to have got the shakes!

I believe there is a area on the Zambezi in Zim where the lions have learned to hunt crocodiles as a principal source of prey. On Lake Kariba I think.

Pretty amazing.

In several parts of India, especially in the Sunderbans, tigers live close to water bodies and actively hunt "Muggers" as we call crocodiles. It is usually a treat to watch a tiger hunt anything and though I have not seen one hunt a crocodile, and neither have I been lucky enough to see the documentary even though I am a BBC addict, I can imagine that it must have been spectacular.

No wonder Corbett described the tiger as the "gentleman of the forest".
