More Donkey Shooting.
      #88982 - 15/11/07 12:24 AM

This donkey was shot for dingo baits in the Northern Gascoyne in Western Australia back in 1982.
Rifle was a Parker Hale 243.

Al: That country certainly looks like it needed a drink!

Love these old photos. Should set up a gallery for them.

Give everyone a good laugh about sixties to eighties fashion anyway!

I was killing more game with a bow than a rifle in my vagrant youth.

I agree on all points!

I've been meaning to comment for some time that as a wee bit of a stockman myself I always marvel at the lack of grazing and forage that seems to so frequently accompany you Aussies' pic's. Good grief no wonder the stockmen want you to get rid of the rubbish that must seriously effect the carrying capacity of many of the areas where you hunt.

Anybody shooting camels anymore???

Yes,a lot of camel being shot but a lot more need to be culled to reduce population especially in station country where fences ,tanks and troughs get knocked around by them.
