Hello Folks,

I'm looking at the Ballard Light Sporter, probably in 7x57 or 30-06. Have any of you had experience with the Ballard 1885 rifles? Share your thoughts?

Take care, Tom

Tom,
The Ballard rifles are as nice as originals. The actions are the same as originals and they did not destroy the design
like Winchester/Browning.
The copy of the Jeffery Sharps (High Wall) as a rook rifle looks great. If available in 7X57R I would sure be happy to have one. I am not sure why they say only for .22 LR or pistol rounds as the picture shows a High wall actioned rifle.
I have never seen an original Jeffry High Wall but the Ballard African Express looks very nice.
Cheers,
fallingblock
