-Wonder what sort of price?

Shooter seems familiar, caliber looks like .375 H&H unless he has small hands.

Hmmm..... Maybe. A lot of recoil for a .375, though.
Looks a lot slicker in the vid than one might imagine just looking at the hardware. Very interesting indeed.

There was a post on this awhile back. I do not remember the exact price, but it was expensive. Around 50,000 to 60,000 if I recall correctly.

I'd buy a double before that any day of the week.

Have never fired one but handled one quite a bit at SCI once. I must say it was extremely well built, came to the shoulder naturally and overall felt better than my Merkel. Ran some dummy rounds thru it and the action was as the saying goes 'butter smooth'. Frankly I would buy one in a minute but for the price. The very friendly gentleman who showed it to me was one of the principals in the company and went over the rifle with me in detail. To say I was impressed is an understatement.

Ben,

The design was patented by a Canadian inventor, Joseph Szecsei whom I had some correspondence with a long time ago, when the rifles were written up by Holt Bodinson in Gun Digest. One of our members DOuble Trouble is a good friend of his.

Szecsei has several designs - SxS, U/O and drillings and at that time he was also working on straight pull and Controlled Feed versions of his action. The manufacturer Fuchs makes only two version, however, in several different calibres.

I remember Mr Szecsei being a particularly nice man to talk to and he has his own website though it does not seem to have been updated in some time to reflect upon his very active experimentation. I hope DT would step in and let us know more about the work that is currently being done.

Good hunting!

Thanks for the FIRST HAND comments. So many times the comments are made by people whom never have picked one up.

Handled one in Dallas last year at DSC. It is heavy, cumbersome and feels like lanscaping timber in your hands. It is a marvel of engineering and manufacturing. The bolts do not turn only the locking collar. I cannot remember the price, but it was Way Too High!

Its what traditional gunmakers call " An Engineers Rifle".
