Don S's Mauser Type A 7x57. Don't you envy the man!

I'll wait for him to post more details.

Another "steal" from england!!!. I have seen the auctionprices on these old classic mausers sold in england ...they are selling for what a new savage or ruger cost west of the mississippi...there is no price really on those type of guns in england.
I had a a winchester and colt collection i wanted to sell on Soetherbys. When I saw the aprraisels from Gavin gardner... a winchester 1886 Saddle Ring carbine was something from US$900-1100.--. I had 3 of them.. And a Model 1890(.22 pumprifle) first years pro in mint con, was $US 300.00.
My Winch 1894 Take Down, First year pro in 38-55 in minty condition was apraised to US$650.--
And the rest of the other 22 revolvers & rifles were apraised so low that the price of iron would have been better...
I was told later that most of the auctionbuyes in england are dealers who has a class 5 licens, and they steal it in Britland and sends it to US....not many brits are allowed to buy anything anyway or have no money...so there is no price on the good classic guns. Next time i want to buy a classic rifle . i go to england to get it. The prices from england to USA are 5-8x up aprox.

Oh...congratulation Don...nice looking Mauserrifle

This 1926 gem was part of Speed's collection in the 80's and is shown in the color section of his first book. It is complete with original factory mounted 4X Zeiss scope numbered to gun. It was built with upgraded wood and without cheekpiece. I'm pleased that it's now in my collection.

Man, that's very nice. Nothing says "Olde English Rifle" like the folded down rear sight leaves and the stock.

Mehul,
I think you need a rifle like that one, for yourself.

From the FAQ section:

How do I add an image to my message?
http://forums.nitroexpress.com/faq.php?Cat=0#image

If you don't have your own hosted web site on a web server there are services available to host your photos. www.photobucket.com is one but there are others. I've found photobucket easy to use.

Hope this helps... and, welcome to the NitroExpress forums!!

Cheers!
-Bob F.

Steve,

No, what I need is a nice, classic, big front stuffer. Am saving up for one and I do know where to look when I'm ready!

Good hunting, my friend! Will call you sometime this week.

Hi again Mehul.
My hunters are leaving tomorrow. It was a fun time. All 4 tags are filled and they are happy.
I have 3 deer tags to fill before the end of November, and I may go for elk for myself too.
But I will be around most of the time now.
I hope to heard from you soon

Have fun
Steve

Thanks, Paul. I have saved some of the pictures posted by Michael Petrov on various forums. You do own some treasures!

Anytime you want me to post pictures for you, I shall be most happy to do this.

Good hunting!
