Photo (above) of an old bull elephant taken from Northern Mozambique's Niassa Reserve (Block B), with tusks of 84 and 80 pounds.
Hunter was Spaniard, Ignacio Garcia Sanchis of Madrid.
PH was Johnnie Johnson of Kambako Safaris.
Shot on September 11, with a .416 Blaser. Left tusk was 82 inches long and 80 pounds, right was 88 1/4 inches and 84 pounds.

this guy was taken in jumbo moores concession. the best of it is that last year this mans son also took an 80#+ ele with jumbo.

unfortunately, as far as I know, those of us in the US can not import ivory from there at this time..

Although I missed out on my Leopard and Buff hunt in Zim due to work commitments, I am lucky enough to be spending a few days hunting Buffalo this area in a couple weeks time. I hope I don't run into a sod like this one or I might get into trouble..

The sentance for shooting one of these without quota may be worth it.
