Leather-Covered Buttpad Material?
      #82427 - 14/07/07 01:02 PM

Anybody know what the leather covers on an old-style leather-covered buttpad?

Is it some sort of soft live rubber?

Pigskin.

I would leave it to the best in the country, and a close friend of mine for 30 years. Very trustworthy.

Thanks.

My post was worded poorly. I'm not referring to the covering itself. I'm wondering about what is under it. Has anyone every taken one apart? What does the covering cover?

Thanks.

OK.

So what you are saying is that there is a regular rubber recoil pad under the leather covering.

Got it.
