Well the train arrived and passed through Katherine, hit Darwin and all the pollies got off and looked around, proberly thought "Christ its hot" and got back on!

No sign of Steve Irwin nor was his name on the train, the media didn't even mention it. Some people paid $12000 to ride the thing.

Why would Irwin's name be ont he train?

Thats the thing Mickey, He's a Queenslander and the powers to be were going to call the train the "Steve Irwin" for a bit of publicity. The good floks in the NT kicked up a stink, saying it should be named after a Territorian or South Australian, someone that had links with the area. But the powers that be wouldn't budge, UNTIL Steve the baby dangler pull that stunt, then they quietly droped him

They were going to.....but then thought a picture of Nitro with the muzzel of that beast pointing at them, on the side of the train, wouldn't be a good idea.

On the side? I think it should go on the front. That way it would keep animals off of the tracks, maybe a 'native Australian' or two also.

They could put Red lights in his eyes and spot lights in the barrels.

Didn't they shoot critters while still on the train way back in the old days? I can just imagine every other window having a long gun sticking out.
