2 Holland hammer paradox guns one early one late at the Holts auction tomorrow. Also Gerald Burrards 7 bore Holland underlever hammerless rifle. Will it make 25k british?

Doesn't the 12 Bore seem rather cheap? Is it left handed?

Yes it is left handed. It does seem a little low. It was listed for an earlier auction then pulled at the last minute. I noticed a very recent reproof. Perhaps it has some flaws not mentioned. I e-mailed a short list of questions on that gun. I received an e-mail back saying all my questions would be answered in a future e-mail that never arrived.

What about the other hammer gun? Do ejectors push it past 20kUS? It is a 21/2" gun.

Marakai should take a look at This Tolley Giant Grip 12 bore double rifle

His 500/450 bpe has the same patent toplever.

Neat stuff in that auction.
The Lancaster oval bore percussion double rifle is cool.
Mickey should take a look at the 16b pinfire double rifle, I think he's looking for a 16b rifle.

Not the time for me to be looking through such a nice pile of iron and wood...

The hammer prices are in, the results:

The Burrard 7 bore Holland 27,000 british. This was a very unique and powerful Holland.

The hammer paradox with original blackpowder proof 2,600 british.

The nitro hammer paradox with ejectors 10,000 british

Hi guys ,I just got back from picking up the ball tearing beasty ( 12 Bore Tolly )!
The chambers look much longer than 3in ,a 3 1/2 shot gun shell fits with ease .
Does any one have any load info on 3in+ 12 bore rifle loads . even bullet weight info ,as there is no info on the rifle ,was re proofed for 3in nitro superior proof load ,I have no idea what this is.

Hi guys , I have taken possesion of a J & W Tolly, Hammerless Top lever ,with 3 1/4 chambers ,reproven for Nitro ( Superior proof ) ??
Does any one here have any ideas on load info or source of same for this size case ?
Rifle weights almost 15 Lbs ,24 in barrels .
Any info would be great .

I didn't get a look at the gun at the auction site. What are the particulars, rifle, smooth bore, bore diameter and proofs?

Gatsby , I just did a big thread & it disapeared ,I think it is still on site above ( Tolly Giant Grip )Rifling, very shallow type -almost semi smooth - was 13 bore old proof ,I have not sluged the bore .I am sure its a rifle only -weight - barrel lenght - standing sight ,
