My 8 bore rifle has arrived.

Thomas Bland, 8 bore. made form a Harpoon gun. 15 lbs 9 oz. 28" barrel.
Had it done in the UK, thats a story in itself. more to follow

Also shown is a breech shot with a 458 in the chamber for scale.
another is a 32 S&W rook rifle for comparison.
The rifle is in otherwise original condition as you see it.

Jesus, that's one nice gun! What size case do you use? What is the bore and groove diameter?

Did that thing have the rigby flats as a harpoon gun?

Everything four inches ahead of standing breech and back is original.

Newly proofed for BP in UK where I had it done. Was a 16 Ga harpoon gun.

It's a beautiful rifle. But I bet the recoil pad does not take up as much of the recoil as you might like.

Details man, Details! I'd love to know which components your builder used to work up a load. Do you have any "before" pictures or history on the rifle prior to your purchase? VERY nice rifle.
