I just came back to hunt a little bit in Botswana. My father and me took a couple of elephants. Mine was 57 and the big one was 81 lbs. I'll post pics when ready .

I been there in 2003, so I knew the place and the PH. This area in known like Tamafupa Pans, just north Botswana in the border with Zimbabwe. Ph is Tim Frayne who hunts every year his 8 elephants licenses with very high note.

Since we traveled across 5 countries (Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and SA), we only took one rifle, our Remington 700 cal. .416 RM and we used, as always, monolitic solid remington bullets.

If you need any help, just tell me. Mean while, check this pictures.
57 and 55 lbs is not that bad .
Otherwise, 81 and 76 lbs is not easy to found.

Great photos 470!.... looks like you saw plenty of game up close and personal!
Roughly how far were you from the group of three buffalo when you took that photo?
And how far from the single one?
curious as to what lenses you were using on these photos.

I used a Panasonic Digital Camera with 12x zoom for both pictures but in one of them had been cutted (that's why is nice to use 8 Mp ). The group was 500 m away while the single one was no more than 40 m.
Those pictures was made in the hunting area, since I made some more in Chobe N.P. obiously easy to take.
