Roland, that is very fine work indeed. I like the relief that your engraving shows, as opposed to some of the more flat presentations.

The price depends on complexity, the quality of finish and the estimated time of work.
That can go for an ornament in deep of 5000€ to more 10000€.
But one can start from a budget which the customer set too.

The rifle is a .500 BPE and weighs 9.30 lbs.

It was delivered to Col. Atherton Edward Jenkins in 1894. Went to India. He was in the Rifle Brigade, Adjunct to the Commander.

A beautiful gun. Engraving on a fine gun is like a fine dress on a beautiful woman. Both bring the beauty out and enhance it like icing on a cake.

I prefer English classic scroll colour hardening finish as one of scratches proof one

I'm a news about L. Smeets.
it was a Francotte's engraver.
It was a woman and she's dead now.
She work for the belgium's royal familly.
She was living in Liège.
I hope he's well for this informations.

somtimes I engrave knife but I prefere firearms because there's more surface to engrave.
