SAFARIKID's .577 NE
      #74507 - 25/03/07 02:02 AM

These are pics of SAFARIKID's .577 NE by Westley Richards. It is a nitro proofed tiger rifle, set up for the 650 grain load. At 9.5 pounds it should be a delight to carry. He has it on consignment at Cabelas.

That is a beautiful rifle. I love the loading as I am a fan of 577 but not the recoil of the 100 grain loads or the extra weight that they require.

I used one almost like that in Zambia in the early 80's. It was a borrowed Alex Henry with an 85 grn/650 load. The penetration is fantastic as anyone who has used the 2 3/4" can attest to.

I liked it so much i bought a Hollis in the late 80's that has the 750 grain/90 grain Cordite, 2 3/4" load.

I think Marrakai has one also.

I also copied these pictures to our Double Rifle Pictures Forum

Beautiful. Westley Richards made some very elegant weapons.
