Can anyone help me pinpoint what specific type of Mauser actions these are eg commercial, type ___? I know the photos could be better, but they are all I have.
The first is a 9.3x62, stamped Deutsche-Werke Mauser:
The second is is also stemped DMW, in 7x57, represented to be a "German pleasure rifle" from the Boer War:

If its stamped DWM it doesnt mean Deutsche Mauser Werke
It means: Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken
in english:German Weapon and Ammunitioncompany.
The Company starts 1896 in Karlsruhe Germany
The systems witch stamped with DWM are one of the best 98 systems you can find,the argentinia systems are very good also.
it is a Mausersystem for shore,but made from DWM.
I by myself have a customgun with a DWM system,a Lothar Walter barrel,Timney Trigger and this is one of my most accurate shooting guns i have.
You will find much better specialist and answers(and better english speaking peoples)than me in this forum ,this is only a first help to your question.

The first one appears to be a Mannlicher-Schoenauer action. The next one appears to be a highly sporterized M-98 action, but is difficult to tell from the angle.

Correct Geronimo, the first is definitely a Mannlicher Schoenauer. It must be bigger than it looks to accommodate the 9.3 cartridge, and I've never seen one stamped 'Deutsche-Werke Mauser'. Are you sure that's the right photo?
The second one looks a bit short for a standard 98, but I guess if its chambered for the 7x57 it is unlikely to be a Kurz. Need to measure the length to be sure.
They've both got enormous potential...!
They were photographed in Africa I assume. Did either of them follow you home.. ?

I'm not at home but I beleive the first is one of the newer comercial Mausers, maybe the Model 66? I have information on the model at home but won't be there till later. I beleive they were mostly to be an "improved" version of the Mannlicher's.

There are a couple of photos of the newer commercial Model 66 posted by 500grains in a thread on 'good buffalo rifles' in the 'Big Bore Rifles' forum. Take a look.
That M-98 action in the 2nd photo is standard length, BTW.
There's plenty of marvellous 'eye candy' in that web-site you posted, Swampfox, wish I was fluent in your native tongue!

The Boer Plezier rifles in South Africa are all built on the 95/96/97 Mauser action. They are stocked similiar to the rifle in the post above but with a semi pistol grip, rounded toe instead of a grip cap. Iron sights, not scoped ,but that could be a later addition. Octagon barrels.

I got home and checked the info I had. It's definately not the 66. I looked through the Mauser 2000/3000 and 4000 and none of them are of that design either.
I don't know about you but if it does have the Mauser stamp on it it makes for one interesting mystery.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I did find another photo of the 7x57, and the receiver is stamped Deutsche Waffen und Munitions Fabriken - Berlin
Can anyone make a strong estimate of the produciton date?
The 9.3 depicted in my photo is stamped: Made in Austria , Original Mannlicher Schonauer, Model 1950 9,3x62”
Also, I have some Jeffery Rifles that are atamped with the following address. Does anyone know what time period Jeffery was located there, and by assumption, when the rifles were made?
The address: WJ Jeffery & Co Ltd, 9 Golden Square , Regent Str, London W1
Also have a Mauser Action with the following stamp on the receiver. Can anyone tell me the manufacture era of the rilfe?
Deutsche Waffen und Mintions Fabriken – Oberndorf.
Also a Cogswell & Harrison with this address:
Cogswell & Harrison Ltd London, 168 Picadilly. Supplied by TJ Goldings (PVT) Ltd, Gatooma.
presumably made in 1950?

According to Brown's British Gunmakers Jeffery was at that address from 1928-53.
The C&H address dates from 1928-82.
