I'm sitting in the motel room Sat. night after the Dallas show watching TV, the marathon of the BBC Scotland melodrama "Monarch of the Glen."

The old man cracks the barrels on his side by side shotgun on the first day of grouse season, takes a whiff of the action, and says.................

Perhaps he too likes the" smell of cordite in the morning".
