W.J. Jeffery Records in U.S.?
      #69192 - 10/01/07 04:16 AM

Gentlemen-

I wrote J.Roberts Gunmakers in London asking for information on my 6.5mm Sporter.

They got back to me noting that the old factory records are out here in The States, and that record searches happen twice a year --once in January and onece in June.
I might be able to get in on this month's search, and if I do, I should expect to get a copy of the leger page in the mail.

How nice!

My question to you all...
Do you know who has these records?
If I've somehow missed the London Train might there be an express route to this information via U.S. channels?

hate to burst your bubble ,but i think record checks happen 2 times a millenium in the states ,there talking about greg miller of rigby US, all his records are in texas and the company is in calif. they do not give out any info on serial numbers ive tried many times they say they will get back to you but it never happens , maybe you will have better luck i just bought a 400/350 and couldnt get any info...paul BTW was that gun you have from greg martins auction ?

Thanks for the note.

I knew about the Rigby records, but Jefferys too?

Grr...

Hopefully someone out there has the page with my rifle's serial #21118

This rifle isn't from an auction house.
