Views on a Chapuis

What do you guys think of this one?

I have Searcy and a Holland already but I really like the engraving on this one.

What do you think is a good price for it. Cablelas often seems to be high to me on rifles but this seems in line.

Cabellas has nice photography. Always makes their guns look BETTER than they really are, IMO. I would think I would be disappointed in this gun in person and 10G's is alot for something that doesn't make me say. "Ahhh!"

Cabellas is too pricey for their used doubles. But then again, what place that features quality doubel rifles isn't too pricey...

I buy my guns like I buy my automobiles... I stay away from Big Name Dealers.

That is a very good price.

I had a Chapuis but did not like it, both looks and feel. But I do like the double hook action.

Like most on this site, Ive gone British for my doubles.

That is a standard grade Brousse. The stock is not exhibition grade. Take it from someone that has dug through the boxes of blanks at the Chapuis factory. Check out the price of a new one before you spend $10,000 on a used one. However, they are a very decent gun for the money.
