Hello everyone, new member to this unique site.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Finnfire combinations (or double come to that) and variants
Sold in Australia through Hermanns Guns.

I read of a dealer in the States but have no knowledge of them. What and who are they?

Welcome to NE.com . Just remember we are all now on to Vegamite so don't try anything cute.

Terref,
If your talking about the Finn Classic it appears to be another manufacturer of the Valmet, Tikka 412, 512 series of shotguns, combination gun and over under double rifles.
I have a Valmet in multiple combinations and love the gun.
It's functional, good value for the dollar and works everytime.

Yes your quite correct Foxfire(my mistake) it is marketed as a Finnclassic 512sc

Actually my 18 yr old son is interested in one. If they are a decent bit of kit I think it might be well worth his while.
They seem to do a range of calibres/configurations, suitable for a wide range of shooting.
Not cheap but better to start with something of quality,
rather than buying bits of old cack(like I did) that end up costing more in the long term. Plus it'll stop him half inching my stuff.Theoretically........

I have a Tikka 515 in a 9.3mm double rifle and a set of shotgun barrels. A .30-06 double barrel set and a 12g/.223 set is on the way.

I find them quite handy given some problems I had on my last safari.

Do a search using the keyword "Tikka" on the double rifle and African forums and you will find some threads. Try also Valmet.

The Valmet 412, Tikka 512 and Finnlassic 512 are basically one and the same.

Thanks for that. The 12g/.223 would be rather a handy bit of gear in my/your neck of the wood....rather fancy something like that. Perhaps I'll start pinching my sons!!
