Double Barrel bolt gun
      #64065 - 15/10/06 08:26 PM

Just for interest, this is a link to a small video I found on a German Double Barrel Bolt Gun. Looks like real fun.

On another post a memeber mentioned a 30-30 Double. How much fun would that be in a 30-30 for roos or pigs?

Classic 416

the link you posted is not that of a German gun rather it is a Double Barreled Bolt actiob Repeater from Szecsei Fuchs Fine Guns and it is manufactured in Innsbruk Austria.

but you are correct about it being fun as well...it is functional

Now THAT's a great bolt gun. Looked to be a .375H&H, didn't it, loaded with Hornady 270gr. Spire Points?

Daryl:
I'll find out for sure, but i do believe that this gun is a .375 H&H
i will ask the maker specifically what ammo he was using.

Second time I wathed it, the bluuets looked like a cone point of some sort, which would make sense. It realy doesn't matter.

There you go. The recoil level seemed a bit high for a .375H&H. Mine never rose that far. I figured it must have been stock design or shooter leaning back that prompted the rise. The .41 does kick a bit more than the little H&H.

There's nothing like seeing the rifle in a video. Looks good. I would like to look at one in the "flesh" oneday.

With 3x2 shots in .416 looks like it would make a great elephant culling rifle.

NitroX
will you be at the SCI show this coming January?
If so, you will be able to handle one of them in both SxS and O/U design as well as other conventional DR's

I am afraid I won't be at the SCI show in the USA in 2007. Will probably make the Aussie one though in late Feb, though late Feb is very difficult for me.

Will have a play with one one-day.
