What is in your opinion the best technique for whistling to gain a foxes interest?

Best way I have found is to blow 3 hard long whistles and wait if you have a good blower if should travel at lest 1km when the fox is sighted blow shallow sounds like a weak rabbit that should bring it in close for a good shot
works night/day.

Any luck with your fox whistling so far?

Go rabbit hunting and listen to a wounded rabbit. Don't overdo the whistling especially if you see a fox approaching. An idea is keep them curious and eager for a meal but not to exactly place your whereabouts. If so you may get blown.

Best time to use the whistle is when the pups are leaving the den and hunting. IMO

I use the three long whistles as well. And don't be in a hurry to move off. Give it 10 minutes each spot.
