In the Nitro Express banner at the top of the page, whatfore be that strange looking pair of muzzles?
Are they screw in chokes or something?!
What gun is that?

Sshhhhh. I worked out the concept for the logo and 'acquired' a graphic for temporary use.

Supposed to be swapped with a purpose designed graphic which I make up myself.

400NE - well spotted.

PS 500nitro has bagged me about that photo since the beginning, even offered to create one of his .500 NE Westley Richards for me. Hint, hint.

I reread his message and he just says hunt. I crossed referenced the hunt and the buffalo along with New Years and Double Rifles and Big Bore Forum, added a Sprite and a leftover Turkey sandwich, got confused and said Buffalo. I'm Sorry.

The Fuchs is a Bolt action Double Rifle. It is what happens when you combine Canadian Day Dreaming and German Engineering.

Those things are adjustable chokes. This allows the rifle to fire different cartridges. By turning down the choke to a smaller size cartridges from 500 NE to 7 x57 R can be used in the same rifle.

It is quite an impressive system and very practical in the Game Fields of Africa. Like the rifle itself.

I'm sure Nitro is being too modest on why he chose this gun to highlight in the top of his site. He, being the visionary that he is, would only put the future of Double Rifles on display here for all of us.

Or maybe it was ..........XnitrO, the Evil Twin that did it.
