I know I ask for a lot of this type of thing but I ask that you bear with me.
Would some one with a 9.3x74r be willing to get barrel dimensions evey 2 inches throughout the length of the barrels? As well as chamber wall thickness?
If a couple of people with different makes would do so I'd appreciate it. I found a DR with barrels that are chambered in 8x57r but they are severly pitted on the inside. To the point of large craters in the barrel walls. The action itself seems in decent shape and was wondering if the profiles are close enough to build a set of 9.3x74 barrels for the action.

This is from a Chapuis 9,3x74R double.
Chamber wall thickness is .260
Cannot measure the bbl till after the bbl block.
Then at 2.7 inches .776
scope mount in the way till
at 6" .772
at 8" .607
at 10" .566
at 12" .548
at 14" .532
at 16" .523
at 18" .516
from 20" to 23.5 .520 to .524.
The Chapuis 9,3 bbls are the thinnest of all the 9,3's I have seen.
The width at the breach face of both bbls is 1.829.
From the bbl flat to the top of the bbl is 1.09

Tony's rifle above is the lightes made 9.3X74R S/S double on the market today, and it handles the pressure of the 9.3X74R fine, and is a very well ballanced, and accurate rifle!
I have a 9.3X74R Merkel S/S double rifle that weighs in at 8.3 pounds, which is a little heavier than the Chapuis. The measurements for it are as follows:
Distance between the fireing pins is center of bore, to center of bore 1.04", and the outside measurment of the BOTH barrels at the breech is:2.105", with a chamber wall thickness of:.289
barrel dia @ 2.7" is .822"
barrel dia @ 6" is: .760"
Barrel dia @ 8" is: .629"
barrel dia @ 10" is: .595"
barrel dia @ 12" is: .567"
barrel dia @ 14" is: .549"
Barrel dia @ 16" is: .537"
Barrel dia @ 18" is: .529"
Barrel dia @ 20" to muzzle is: .5265
Barrels are 23.6"
I'd say My rifle is most likely the 20ga in size of action, because I know you can get a pair of 20ga barrels for it, and a set of cape gun barrels with 20ga shot, and the full range of rifle chamberings up to 9.3X74R for this rifle. I say, as well the size comparison for the Chapuis would be closer to the 28 ga size. A very trim little rifle, that is well made, and finished, as well as being super accurate!

I'd call Dan Pederson www.cutrifle.com (with a set of calipers in hand) and tell him the problem. Then ask him if he thinks there's enough wall thickness in the barrels, to rebore them to 9.3... Of course he'll have to see the barrels eventually and take physical measurement from them, but if there’s enough steel in the walls that they can be re-rifled and re-regulated - you'll come out ahead vs. the price of complete new barrels.
