End of the season in my concession in zimbabwe
      #6004 - 22/12/03 04:23 AM

After many years of hunt in Africa, last year I decided to take my own hunting concession in Zimbabwe. Is an area of over 100.000 hectares at the south of the country, not far from the S.A. border. For the first time in my life, I tryed to be an outfitter.
After the first season I'm very happy. The concession is marvelous, plenty of game, huntable and not. I hunted three times for abotu 30 days, and I took many good trophies. Also I have sold some safaris and now I have many very satisfied clients which are also new friends of mine.
A great experience.

Well done Mario.

Tell us what game do you have on the concession.

Can I ask you on something? I have always been intrigued on how you do it. Do you have a local partner in Zim?

in the area (inside the Nuanetsi ranch) ther'are all the most tipycal antelopes of the area: Liv. Eland (Nuanetsi is one of the most famous place in africa for this animal), Kudu, Wildebeest, Zebra, Waterbuck, Nyala, Bushbuck, Very big Warthog, Buhspig, Impala, Duiker, small cats etc. Also big Leopards, Hyena and Chetaah. Also a small herd of Buffaloes. Sometimes coming Elephant, and Lion from the GoNa Re Zhou N.P. and we saw a big group of Wild Dogs (27/28).

My partner in this operation is the PH Boet Van Aarde, which worked for many years for Lowveld Hunters of jeannie Meyer. Now Boet he have his own company Sebenani Trails.

Mario, it sounds like you have a great place. The Gonarezhou area is very good for hunting.

The concession is not at the border of the National Park, but about 50 km far.
In the GoNa Re Zhou area, at the border, ther'are some very good hunting concessions for big elephant bulls.
