Going to be shooting my Knight muzzleloader
      #55417 - 22/04/06 01:52 AM

It's supposed to be a business trip to St Louis and I shall be spending two days at the beautiful home of my friend MArk White in Michael, IL. As he has a range right behind his house, I'm going to be breaking in the barrel of my new Knight 50 ML. This is special to me as it was bought for me by my wife and I have a feeling she's going to want to shoot it as well. Yippee!!!!!

I'm very happy for you Mehul!

Have fun with that 1/2" bore gun.
I've had quite the great time with my late father's fifty caliber black powder rifle. I hope yours shoots well for you.
Bring a good assortment of powder patches and roundball, I'm sure you'll find a load that works.

Tinker,

Thank you, my friend. I just got back a couple of hours ago and had a blast. Will be posting pictures here for everyone to enjoy. The rifle was shot with cast 320 grain bullets made by my friend and business partner Mark White and we used Ffg powder with CCI caps and after some fiddling a 90 grain powder load was found to be the most accurate as well as the most comfortable to shoot. The rifle is VERY accurate and I am extremely happy with it. $ 100 guns cannot be better and it outshoots some more expensive guns that I have shot.

Mark had a whole bag full of round balls but then we celebrated by shooting several other guns after we found the right load for this one and we didn;t shoot them at all. I am a muzzleloader novice and I did not want to get into paper patching etc for round ball without initial supervision and I shall try and learn how to use the rifle with MArk's supervision first before I try it. But I shhall be trying it as soon as I can - I have never had this much fun with modern rifles.

BTW I have replied to your post about your beautiful on the Big Bores forum. My friend is back if you would like to communicate with him.

Cheers and thanks again,
