See that's what makes this place fun. You get to talk to others and get there thoughts and ideas. However, I find most all of those rifles hideous at best. Neat engineering idea, but ugly or is that butt ugly .

What the hell did they do? Weld 2 Mausers together? Looks like a great solution to a nonexistant problem.

I doubt they were attempting to create a problem or a solution, seems to me they made the rifle because they could.
And those rifles are made to a very high grade, they're very expensive, and for all it's worth, they're an interesting excercise in the gunmaker's art.

No one spends that kind of money on a sporting rifle out of need. They spend that kind of money on a sporting rifle because they can, and there isn't anything else being built that compares -- good for those who'd want to spend the money on one, good for the gunmaker.

I wouldn't kick one out of my vault.

Tinker,

You may not kick one out of your vault but the rest of the guns may revolt .

I don't think just because you can make something doesn't mean that doing so is a great idea, no matter what the level the work is. For example I could make a 50 BMG Schutzen rifle. That doesn't mean I should. Though as I said earlier that is why this is fun, getting others ideas of what they like and why. After all things would be pretty boring if we all liked the exact same things.

You guys have to admit that 6 bullets, 2 at a time as fast as a DR, with 2 cycles of the action isn't a bad idea. I think it only weighs 11-12lbs too. If I had enough money to already have everything I want from this world I would get one to try out. You never know, it may be great.

And it has magazines so you could get a few extra for quick reloads. I would be lying if I said that I didn't want to at least give it a try.

Way too much going on for me.

Ten years ago they were the talk of the SCI convention and everyone was interested. The price has driven most off, and the real "need" drove a few more off. ......But, I have both handled and fired them, and find little lacking but a bigger checkbook balance. They do balance for their weight, do not hurt, are accurate, and fit me fine. On top of that, they are an excellent piece of workmanship. ..........Just not everyone's cup of tea or price range! ~Arctic~

There was one at the Dallas Safari Club Convention this year.
It was in .375 H&H. Two single stack tandum magizines fed by a massive double faced bolt.

AN interesting piece of engineering. The bolt handle turned a large threaded locking collar. The bolt only moved back and forward. It did not rotate for obvious reasons. The action was very smooth.

This is not your light weight mountain rifle! I only fondled it for a short time, but I did not think it was well balanced?

A lot of money, a real big rifle!

Definitely a lot of rifle, and a fair bit of cash...

But really, when you see what guys are paying for wristwatches, that rifle is a good value in terms of mechanical gadget/dollar return.
