A new forum to form a permanent archive on the various makes and models of double rifles.

Please post photos of your double rifles here, or those of friends if they are interested. If possible also post descriptions and any known histories.

In the title name the make, model (if any) and calibre.

Please use a new thread for each one.

I hope this forum and its threads is successful and forms a permanent useful, entertaining and educational archive on the various double rifles in existence.

I will see I can assist anyone with posting if they do not have the means. For this option please start your own thread and I will insert the photos. Email these photos to:

Photos AT NitroExpress.com (edit this address to add the @ and correct the email address)

Please only use this email address so my principal one is not filled up.

Threads and photos posted may be edited to place the photos on the NE.com server so they stay a permanent fixture in the threads. They will get up faster if you can load them up on the net somewhere in the first place however .

Just a further note, if members could confine the use of this forum to its intended purpose. Each thread should be started off with a post detailing a newly displayed rifle. General dicussions and various questions should be made on the usual DR (or other) forums so as to not fragment the other forums. I will pro-actively work to this.

This is mainly so this forum stays easy for people to find and view the various makes of double rifles.

A new forum for 'Classic' firearms archive has been created so that will be a place for other vintage and classic firearm types.

Yet another announcement:

Many of you may have noticed that NitroX asked me to help with the Double Rifle Archive Forum as a moderator. I feel this is a unique privilege. I gladly agreed, and I hope to do the lion's share of the work.

To facilitate posting pictures for those of you who may need help, NitroX has also assigned me the alter ego of "DRarchive". In conjunction with that identity NitroX has assigned me an email address on the NE.com server. That address is:

DRarchive"at"nitroexpress.com

(again, where the "at" is really an @) here disguised to foil the ever-present spammers!

So feel free to ask my help with posting (or with anything). You can follow the procedure outlined by NitroX above, and send your photos to this email address to take the load off NitroX.

I will suggest one thing. If you send photos to this email address I suggest you send me a PM (as CptCurl) to remind me to check the mail on that address. Otherwise there might be a delay. Jeez, this schizophrenia!

Let's make this forum a true show-case of double rifles.
