Yep! thats the best price I can find for a set of claw mounts installed (rings 0nly) to get my Max Wolf 9.3X62 back on the road to to her former glory. Everyones been so helpful already with info, any sugestions, or is this about the going rate? Thanks guy's...

Wha type of mounts are they ?


Your lucky they are not Holland & Holland QD Mounts as then you are up
for 10 - 20 times that figure !!!

500nitro, they are Rein something or other. I don't have my notes in front of me and can't recall the correct name to save my life..

That sounds about right to me. Bases and rings together would be about $1000.

Very expensive all right because they require lots of qualified handwork + often bbl. rebluing after soldering + re-regulating of bbls. But then, claw mounts are really the best in terms of return to zero. I had my FN-Browning o/u in 9,3x74R fitted with them..
