Research on Double Bore Guns

Hello,

Does anybody out there have a large bore double (older classic) muzzleloader that they can disassemble and take pictures of? I need specs on the parts and assembly for a project gun. Also, would like to know how they beefed up the gun to handle the recoil of these monsters. Most importantly I need to know about the stock and locks.

Maybe there is a source for the info somewhere as well.

There is a member called Ka'imiloa on this forum who is an authority on old doubles. He also restores them and has always been helpful in guiding people whoa re interested in this craft. Do contact him if you would like to talk to someone who does this kind of thing as a passion.
