Is there any good shooting gloves to protect my trigger finger from being bashed when shooting the second trigger.

I have the same problem sometimes with my .500. I usually wrap a band aid or two (with the cotton part where I get smacked between my first and second knuckle) on my finger.

I don't like shooting with gloves and this works for me sometimes :-)

About 15 years ago I suggested to PAST (the makers of the recoil shield) that they design a shooting glove for bigger calibers. I asked them for a Right glove with the fingers cut off at the knuckle and the middle finger to have a piece of plastic on the top of the finger. This was to take the back of the trigger guard.

They made me up a pair to try out but in the end a thick pad was used over the finger instead of plastic as it needed to bend a bit more.

They sold them for a long time and may still do so. I still have the original pair and they work great. Protect your hands but leave your finger tips free for loading and fiddling.

Bonanza,
Some people get their finger bashed others do not. I have one friend that has a 470 Chapuis that bashes his second finger on the back of the trigger guard. When shot by me and another buddy we do not get bashed.

You might try this, Besure you have a FIRM grip on the pistiol grip. Be sure you press the second trigger while maintaing your FIRM grip on the pistol grip of the stock, and firm pressure into your shoulder. If the front trigger is bashing you finger when you shoot the second trigger, you might be relaxing you grip too soon.

I was shooting off the bench and, to be sure, I was employing a bench rest shooters hold and trigger pull. I don't suffer from this when off-hand shooting.

How effective is an articulated front trigger in preventing this kind of situation?

A bit of cloth bandage tape around the affected finger will improve the situation and will not be as unweildy as a glove.

And as 450NEno.2 said, a tight grip will help to reduce the problem.
