Do you want it as a collector piece or to hunt/shoot?

The factory run 300 H&H No.1's seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth with a price tag reflecting that. Would probably be cheaper and quicker to rebarrel a No.1 in a different chambering or rechamber one in 30/06.
