Thanks Michael, I think this web site must be from some time ago, his doubles start at around £16000 at present, that’s approximately $30000 US, he quoted me the usual two years to build but worth the wait if you can afford it, sadly I couldn’t, I would rather spend on hunting and settle for something a little older and a little more used.

Regards

Phil

Bozard & Co. build double rifles in Berkshire UK - www.bozardandco.com.
Finn Classic build doubles up to 9.3x74R - their base model costs GB £1,139 ( c.US $2,150 ) plus VAT @ 17.5% for EU residents. Available from JLS & CO ( 1959 ) LTD - www.jls-wednesbury.com
Graham MacKinlay is a retailer only.

I`ve just realised that I gave Bozard & Co an incorrect URL - sorry about that. I`ve now altered it.

One of the Spaniards whom I came to know about from a member at AR when I wanted to respond to a member's question about his rifle:

Australain members will know that Ron Webb of Queensland was putting together some well made doubles on Ruger Red Label over-and-under actions before he retired.

wombat,

"Australain members will know that Ron Webb of Queensland was putting together some well made
doubles on Ruger Red Label over-and-under actions before he retired."

I liked the 375 Flanged he did but thought the action a bit small for a 500 Nitro. Don't think
it would stay on the face well with high pressure cartridges.

Ron was well aware of the strengths and dimensions required for different cartridges that were to be used in his double rifles.

johndozier,

Thanks for the Armes Granger website. I had heard (wrongly) that George Granges had retired and that his atelier had been shut down. Fortunately this great marque seems to be going from strength to strength.

Good hunting!

Look at this Swedish site. Not what we usually think of when we think "double rifle", it is an over under. An offshoot of the Flodman OU shotgun:

John Lyell of Edinburgh Scotland is another from the past.
I've got one of his 500 BPE that is a nice rifle.
