9.3 Nimrod, what is it?
      #44763 - 24/12/05 06:48 AM

Anyone know what the 9.3 Nimrod cartridge is?
Am told of a double hammerless by Fischer, probably a nitro but not sure, my correspondent is not knowledgeable about proofmarks.

I think this was an old name for the German 9.3x82R cartridge, which was a longer version of the common 9.3x72R. This one is still made, but not the longer version. These are obsolete low-power cartridges suitable for deer (not to be confused with much more powerful 9.3x74R).
